Watermelon+

Vice President of Growth & Partnerships, Watermelon+

Full-time

Remote or Orland Park, IL

Reports to Co-Founders

$100K–$150K

What you’ll do

  • Figure out how to get Watermelon+ subscribers and keep them. That means working across paid and organic channels: performance marketing (search, social, programmatic), influencer and creator partnerships, referral and affiliate programs, PR, and community marketing to drive trial and paid signups.
  • Own the subscription business: pricing, tiers, bundling, and the monetization model
  • Run growth experiments and testing: design, run, and iterate on acquisition and retention experiments (creative, offers, pricing, messaging, channel mix) with clear hypothesis, measurement, and learnings.
  • Build the analytics foundation so decisions come from numbers, not guesses: CAC, churn, LTV, engagement, funnel performance
  • Partnership management: own relationships with existing third-party streamers, distributors, platform partners (e.g., connected TV platforms, app stores, payment providers), and affiliate partners to expand reach and distribution.
  • Oversee the growth of Watermelon+: You’ll work with the design team to make the platform feel like the brand. You’ll advise our product team to prioritize conversion and retention-focused fixes and features. You’ll also work with the content team by giving them data on what audiences are actually watching.

Required

  • 5+ years driving user growth, performance marketing, or subscription growth, for a consumer-facing digital product (streaming/media experience strongly preferred)
  • You’ve owned acquisition and retention channels, and improved core metrics of subscriber economics (CAC, LTV, churn, conversion)
  • You are a data-driven operator: comfortable with cohort analysis, funnel optimization, A/B testing, and using analytics to direct strategy
  • You have experience managing partnerships with third-party content providers, distributors, or platform partners
  • You’ve worked with marketing, design, and engineering teams and know how to ship without drama
  • You’re a hands-on leader who can run campaigns, interpret results and scale playbooks across channels
  • You’re comfortable in a fast-moving environment where the playbook doesn’t exist yet

Preferred

  • OTT, streaming, or entertainment technology background/connected TV distribution
  • Familiarity with MENA audiences, Arab diaspora communities, or mission-driven media
  • Arabic language proficiency
  • Experience building growth functions at startup or early-stage media/subscription businesses
